About Us

STVDIO is Australia’s dedicated arts channel, available on channel 132 on FOXTEL and AUSTAR. STVDIO invites you to see the arts up close, as it showcases the best of theatre, dance, music, visual arts, film and literature.

STVDIO offers exclusive TV access to premiere programs, from live international performances and interviews, to exclusive Australian arts productions. The channel takes you front row at local and global performances and offers you a behind-the-scenes look at artists, performers and their work.

STVDIO launched on 1 April 2010 on subscription television and has since become a crucial member of the Australian arts community. The channel is committed to supporting the talent of local and international artists. STVDIO’s production team is dedicated to recording documentaries, interstitials and performances which celebrate local artistic talent and give a valuable insight into the process of making art in all its forms.

Partnerships with the country’s most exciting arts organisations, including the Sydney Opera House, Melbourne International Arts Festival, and The Australian Ballet, increase audience access to great works of art, no matter where they live in Australia.

STVDIO is owned and operated by SBS Subscription TV, which is a subsidiary business of SBS.
